Osuke and Nijio have come to discover that their pasts are more closely entwined than either of them knew, and that both their fantastical powers come from the same god--a god who is dangerously attached to Nijio. To keep them both safe, Osuke has decided to continue working as Nijio's partner. Meanwhile, Nijio has realized he has feelings for Osuke, and fears pulling him in too deep. Just as unspoken doubts are beginning to take a toll on their partnership, Ten invites Osuke to accompany him on a job to some hot springs in a mysterious, remote village...just the two of them!
