Wen lives with her grandmother in a land of fairy tales. She has never seen the world outside her home and the magical barrier that protects them. One day, a mysterious prince collapses just beyond the barrier and Wen crosses over it to help him. In the confusion, a strange boy and his flock of ravens descend and abduct Wen's grandmother. Wen decides to travel with her newfound friend, Prince Corliss, and his trusty companion Theo the swallow, on a quest to save her grandmother.
