The first leg of Geo and Nereid's journey brought them to Haweila Town, where Geo settled a labor dispute and Nereid dueled a violence-loving granny. They then encountered Reno, a former dragon knight who lost his territory to a vicious gang. After learning that the gang included a lackey of Yuri Holst, Geo and Nereid head for the city of Uballe to find out more about this notorious figure.
